An urban pilot project in Brussels and a test garden on the farm of le Monde des Mille Couleurs with old Belgian bean varieties.
Start of The Heritage Bean project March 2020 with harvest in July and August 2020
Objectives:
- upgrade historical beans and legumes in gastronomy and with implementation in restaurant humus x hortense, Brussels
- promote individual health through education on vegetable proteins
- enhance planetary health by fueling critical awareness of protein consumption and nutritionally equivalent alternatives
